The Bay of Fires region of Tasmania's east coast has to be one of my all time favourite destinations to photograph. The mix of pure white sand , turquoise blue water , and incredible rock formations covered in lichen is a photographers dream.
The tricky part to bringing all this beauty together is the weather , and let's just say Tasmania can be pretty unpredictable. I had already been in Las for a few days but the weather was playing very difficult with wind , rain and even hail ! but on my last morning I woke up and it felt different.
Driving out to Cosy Corner I knew I had a chance, I framed up this shot using my trusty Linhof 617 and fired off a few shots just as the first light broke the horizon.
